The Ridgefield High football team will play its Homecoming game against Norwalk on Nov. 1.
Pomp and pumped-up crowd aside, the Tigers just will be happy to be home again.
After opening the season with a pair of home games against Cheshire on Sept. 12 and Fairfield Ludlowe on Sept. 20, Ridgefield will play a string of five consecutive road games before returning to Tiger Hollow for the Homecoming contest.
The Tigers have two non-conference games this season, against Cheshire and Notre Dame-West Haven, and play nine FCIAC games, including the annual Thanksgiving rivalry contest with Danbury.
Ridgefield went 8-2 last season and finished ninth in the Class LL state playoff point rankings, just missing out on a berth in the eight-team playoff field.
