The Ridgefield High baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and went on to beat Bassick-Bridgeport, 12-3, on Wednesday at Ciuccoli Field.
Making his first start of the season, Dan Greenberg pitched six innings to get the victory for the Tigers (8-2). He allowed three runs (two unearned) on four hits while walking none and striking out 11.
Christian Petersen drove in four runs for Ridgefield, and Kevin Ash and Colin Virag each had three RBIs.
Petersen, Ash, Virag and Jason Marra all had triples.
Sam Sarath and Robbie DePalma each had two hits for the Tigers.
