On Tuesday, April 16, the last meeting of WomenHeart Fairfield/Westchester will take place at Eats on Main at 3:30 p.m. This final get-together under the guidance of Emelie Howard will include the usual support exchange accompanied by coffee/tea and choice of desserts.
Ms. Howard said, “This will be our last meeting until we find someone who is willing to take the training at the Mayo Clinic to continue the effort to get the word out that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women and most women are still inclined to ignore their symptoms.”
“It has been an honor and a privilege to be able to serve our communities in this way, and I hope it will not be long before we can resume under new, younger and stronger leadership.”
WomenHeart is the only national organization dedicated to advancing women’s heart health through advocacy, community education and patient support. As the leading voice for the 41 million American women living with or at risk of heart disease, WomenHeart advocates for equal access to quality care and provides information and resources to help women take charge of their heart health.
