The Ridgefield High boys and girls 4×800-meter relay teams both earned All-New England honors with top-six finishes at the New England indoor track and field championships Saturday in Boston, Mass.
The RHS boys 4×800 relay of Thomas Guillaume, McCall Keller, Will Bordash and Graeme Hewett led the way with a second-place finish in a time of 7:57.79. Hingham (Mass.) was first in 7:56.32.
The RHS girls 4×800 relay of Hannah Fleming, Laura Hergenrother, Molly Weeks and Sarah Guillaume finished fifth in 9:24.92.
Also for Ridgefield, Trevor Hopper placed eighth in the boys two-mile run (9:29.57), Hergenrother was 12th in the girls one-mile run (5:15.45), and Sarah Guillaume was 24th in the girls two-mile run (12:00.42).
