Going into the final quarter, the Ridgefield High boys basketball team found itself tied with Stamford on Tuesday night.
Eight minutes later, the Tigers had a 17-point victory.
Ridgefield outscored the Black Knights, 21-4, in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 64-47 triumph at RHS. The game was tied 43-43 after three quarters.
The Tigers are now 11-4 overall and 9-4 in the FCIAC.
Kurt Steidl scored 22 points to lead Ridgefield. Charlie Irwin added 11 points and Jeff Racy and Patrick Racy each finished with 10 points.
Stamford, which fell to 4-11 overall had five three-pointers in the first half but only one in the second half.
