Vacancies offer chance to serve town

Many opportunities are available to serve in Ridgefield’s town government.

For instance, there’s a vacancy on the five-member Board of Ethics, a four-year appointed position.

Members must be Ridgefielders “known for their integrity,” and are appointed by the Board of Selectmen. Meetings are held quarterly unless a specific matter is being evaluated. Members cannot hold other town office or be employees of the town.

Vacancies also exist on: Affordable Housing Committee, Architectural Advisory Committee (alternate position), Annual Town Meeting Committee, Cable TV Advisory Council, Commission on the Disabled, Economic Development Commission, Graveyard Restoration Committee, Parking Authority, Parks & Recreation Commission, Pension Commission, Ridgefield Arts Council, Ridgefield Prevention Council, Youth Commission (youth and adult positions).

Anyone interested in any of these boards or commissions may call or email the first selectman’s office at 203-431-2774 or selectman@ridgefieldct.org.
