The Ridgefield High boys basketball team is on a rare two-game losing streak.
The Tigers, who suffered a 68-45 setback to Trinity Catholic on Tuesday, fell to Central, 57-49, on Friday night in Bridgeport.
Ridgefield is now 10-4 overall and 8-4 in the FCIAC.
Central led by two points, 39-37, entering the fourth quarter and then outscored the Tigers, 18-12, in the final eight minutes.
Kurt Steidl had a game-high 21 points for Ridgefield. Charlie Irwin finished with 10 points and Jeff Racy and Jon Hicks each added six points.
Marcus Blackwell had 20 points for Central, which improved to 10-3.
