The RHS girls had 50 points to edge Staples (48) points for second place behind Darien, which cruised to the FCIAC title with 116 points.
The Tigers got a first-place finish in the sprint medley relay from the team of Amanda Berta, Leah Phelan, Molly Weeks and Hannah Fleming. Ridgefield’s time of 4:23.88 was more than five seconds faster than that of runner-up Greenwich.
Laura Hergenrother (1,000-meter run, 3:07.20) and Berta (long jump, 16’5″) both finished second for the Tigers.
The RHS boys had 47 points to tie Darien for third place behind Staples (104.33) and Danbury (92.33).
Ridgefield finished first in the sprint medley relay with a time of 8:27.10.
Placing second for the Tigers were James Barile in the long jump (20’6.25″) and Trevor Hopper in the 3,200 (9:43.01).
