Three first-period goals were enough as the Ridgefield High boys hockey team defeated Greenwich, 3-1, on Saturday night at the Winter Garden.
It was the eighth straight win for the Tigers, who are now 11-3 overall.
Shane Luery, Vinny Rella and Cam McGuire scored goals for Ridgefield, which took a 3-0 lead midway through the first period.
Greenwich got its only goal later in the opening period. Neither team scored in the final two periods.
Geoff Schneider had two assists for Ridgefield, which outshot Greenwich, 34-17.
