Ridgefield students earn college honors

Seven Ridgefielders have been named to the dean’s list at Providence (R.I.) College for the fall semester: Callie Kovack, Class of 2013, Elizabeth O’Connell, Class of 2015, Conner O’Meara, Class of 2014, Michelle Spera, Class of 2015, Jonathan Tagliaferri, Class of 2014, Michael Wasenius, Class of 2014, and Anne Wendel, Class of 2013.

Marco Zandri was named to the dean’s list at the University of New Haven in West Haven for the fall semester.

Charleton Lutz, a freshman, has recently been named to the high honor roll for the winter term at The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor.

Christopher Butler, son of Hedy and Marshall Butler, is a recipient of the Dean’s Award for academic excellence during the 2012 fall term at Colgate University, Hamilton, N.Y., where he is a member of the Class of 2013. He is a 2009 graduate of Ridgefield High School and is concentrating in history and political science.

Thirteen Ridgefielders have been named to the dean’s list for fall 2012 at the University of Delaware, Newark: Alex Abrahams, Rachel Bangser, Kathryn Cholko, Shannon Connolly, Kelley Gibson, Gabrielle Lanzetta, Kayla Mantegazza, Megan Mariani, Tara McKeon, Fallon Mosia, Michaela Schulman, Kyle Shaughnessy, and Grant Smith.

Three Ridgefielders have been named to the president’s list at Clemson (S.C.) University for the fall 2012 semester: Sarah Ann Fisher, majoring in biological sciences, Jillian Angela Richter, majoring in biological sciences, and Maya Salamon, majoring in pre-business.

Victoria L. Palazzo, an undeclared-major undergraduate, was on the fall dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C.

Hannah K. Kloeckner, daughter of Sabine Heym-Kloeckner and Kristof Kloeckner of Ridgefield, has been named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College, Clinton, N.Y., for the 2012 fall semester. Ms. Kloeckner, a junior majoring in psychology, is a graduate of Ridgefield High School.

Chloe Slawson has been named to the fall 2012 dean’s list at Champlain College at Burlington, Vt., for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher. She is majoring in psychology.

Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa., reports Keith Beizer, Class of 2015, a Spanish and political science major, is on the dean’s list for the fall semester. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Beizer and a graduate of Ridgefield High School.
