Three wins in four days helped the Ridgefield High boys hockey team move up two spots in The New Haven Register Top 10 state poll.
The Tigers (6-3) are ranked fifth in the latest poll, which was announced Tuesday. Ridgefield was seventh in last week’s poll.
Ridgefield routed Staples, 7-1, last Wednesday and Norwalk/McMahon, 7-0, on Friday before edging St. Joseph, 6-5, in overtime Saturday night.
St. Joseph, which is also 6-3, was ranked sixth in Tuesday’s poll.
Fairfield Prep, which beat Ridgefield in the season opener, is first with 170 points and received all 17 first-place votes.
Notre Dame-West Haven is second, followed by Xavier and Darien.
