Boys hockey: Tigers top St. Joseph in OT

Freshman Adam Karashik’s overtime goal lifted the Ridgefield High boys hockey team to a 6-5 non-conference victory over St. Joseph on Saturday night at the Winter Garden.

It was the second win in two days — and third in four days — for the Tigers, who are now 6-3 overall.

The game was a make-up contest from the West Haven Christmas Tournament that had been postponed last month.

Karashik and Liam Smith each had two goals for Ridgefield. Ian Ball and Kyle Wolfarth added one goal apiece.

Cam McGuire had two assists, and Vin Rella, Andy DeLalla, Henry Gough, Geoff Schneider, Jack Tregurtha, Karashik, Ball, and Smith all had one assist.

Ridgefield goalie Dusty Rausa finished with 18 saves.
