It was one up, one down for the Ridgefield High basketball teams on Friday night.
Playing at home, the RHS girls basketball team routed Norwalk, 65-31.
The Tigers (8-3) racked up 22 first-quarter points and built a 38-16 lead at halftime.
Andrea Ferrero paced Ridgefield with 15 points. Carly Mercede added 13 points and Maggie Scalzo had 12 points.
Ferrero and Mercede were both three-for-three on three-pointers. Mercede also had nine rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile in Norwalk, the host Bears topped the RHS boys hoop team, 61-47, to take over first place in the FCIAC Central Division.
Norwalk (7-2) led by two points, 39-37, entering the fourth quarter, but then outscored the Tigers, 22-10, in the final eight minutes.
Kurt Steidl had a game-high 18 points for Ridgefield (6-2) before leaving late in the contest with an injury.
Jeff Racy added 15 points and Patrick Racy had 12 points for the Tigers.
