For the second time this season, the Ridgefield High girls basketball team came up short against Trumbull.
The Tigers fell to unbeaten Trumbull, 55-30, in the championship game of the Masuk Holiday Tournament in Monroe on Saturday afternoon.
Ridgefield dropped to 6-3 while the Eagles improved to 9-0.
Trumbull had previously topped the Tigers in the season opener for both teams.
Carly Mercede led the Tigers with seven points. Rebecca Lawrence added five points and Andrea Ferrero, Maggie Scalzo and Samarah Cook had four points apiece.
Alexaa Pfohl had a game-high 16 points for Trumbull, which led 24-13 at halftime and 39-20 after three quarters.
Scalzo was named to the all-tournament team.
