The Cake Box serves breakfasts

The Cake Box is next door to Terre Sole restaurant, in the space formerly occupied by nancy O’s knitting shop.

The Cake Box, a cake and cupcake bakery now located at 1 Big Shop Lane, has expanded and now offers breakfast foods.

The Cake Box is next door to Terre Sole restaurant, in the space formerly occupied by nancy O’s knitting shop. It recently moved to the larger location from Copps Hill Marketplace on Danbury Road.

The Cake Box now has café tables. Menu items include scones, muffins and cinnamon rolls. Beverages include cappuccino, hot chocolate, latte, chai and gourmet tea.

“While we loved our location in Copp’s Hill Marketplace, we didn’t have the space there to offer morning treats and a full-range of hot beverages. Our new location is a little bigger and has the room we need to offer more baked items,” said Jordan Gregory, co-owner of The Cake Box with Robert Byrnes.

“Because everything we sell is baked on premises completely from scratch using fresh and natural ingredients, more space was necessary in order for us to offer more baked goods,” she said.  “Plus, we love having tables where people can relax and unwind.”

The Cake Box is now open from 7:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. On Sundays, the hours are 10 to 4 p.m. The bakery is closed Mondays.
