Tractor, bedecked for the holidays at The Hickories.
The Hickories will host a Holiday Sheep Walk across the fields and a wool spinning demonstration in the barn on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 5 to 6 p.m. at 136 Lounsbury Road.
Visitors of all ages have been invited to gather in the field overlooking Lounsbury Road as the farmers kick off the festivities at 5 p.m. with the traditional tractor lighting. Visitors may help the farmers shepherd the farm’s flock across the field to the shelter of their winter barn.
In the main barn will be a hands-on wool skirting table and live spinning demonstration.
The event will also feature the sounds of Ridgefield High School’s A Cappella 8.
Hot cider will be provided. There will be wool and other farm items for sale.
Registration is suggested at info@thehickories.org. The event is free.
