Eugene and June Rhodes were married Oct. 20, 1962, at the Virginia Beach United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach, Va.
They spent 25 years in Ridgefield before retiring to Williamsburg, Va., in 2005.
They have three children: Kathryn (Andy), Jon (Kristin) and Stephanie (Justin) and five grandchildren: Nicholas, Owen, Aidan, Fiona, and Maeve, and enjoyed a celebratory week at the beach with all of them in Sandbridge, Va., in August.
