Roland Bedard, 86, Navy veteran of World War II

Roland Bedard, 86, of Ridgefield CT passed away on Monday, November 12th, 2012 at home, surrounded by his family.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Mildred, of 63 years, 3 children, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Roland worked in the construction industry throughout his career and was a veteran, having served in the Navy during World War II.

He loved his family, bowling and golfing.

His dedication to the Catholic Church was unwavering.

Despite suffering with Alzheimer’s, he retained his ability to crack a joke and say, ‘I love you.’ Roland was always optimistic, loving and caring.

He led an exemplary life — one that will serve as a role model for all of his loved ones.

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, November 25th, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home, Ridgefield CT.
