Scoring more than 50 points for the second straight game, the Ridgefield High football team routed Bridgeport Central, 53-16, on Wednesday night at Tiger Hollow.
Ridgefield raised its record to 7-2 with one regular-season game remaining.
The Tigers built a 31-0 lead before Central scored its first touchdown late in the second quarter. Ridgefield answered immediately, as Jack Boscia returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown to give the hosts a 39-8 halftime lead.
Sam Gravitte scored three touchdowns for Ridgefield. Connor Rowe and Will Bonaparte ran for scores, and Rowe threw a TD pass to John Mullery. Back-up quarterback Ryan Dunn connected with Brett Baker on a long touchdown pass for Ridgefield’s final score.
The Tigers finish the regular season with a road game at Danbury next Wednesday (Nov. 21) at 6.
