The Ridgefield High girls volleyball team bowed out of the state tournament with a 3-2 loss to Fairfield Warde in a Class LL first-round game Thursday night in Ridgefield.
The 16th-seeded Tigers ended the season with an 11-9 record.
Warde, the 17th seed, won the match by scores of 26-24, 22-25, 25-18, 22-25 and 15-10.
Olivia Prehodka had 14 kills and 23 digs for Ridgefield.
Gemma Howard added six kills, while Rebecca Lawrence had five blocks and Maddie Wiley had 17 digs.
Kaitlin McKenna led Warde with 17 kills.
