The Ridgefield High girls volleyball team clinched a spot in the upcoming FCIAC playoffs with a 3-2 victory over visiting Fairfield Warde on Monday.
The Tigers won by scores of 22-25, 25-17, 25-23, 22-25 and 15-9.
Ridgefield improved its record to 11-5 with two regular-season matches remaining. According to FCIAC.net, the Tigers have cliched a berth in the eight-team conference playoffs even if they lose those final two contests.
Olivia Prehodka had 20 kills, 17 service points and 18 digs for Ridgefield in the win over Warde (9-7).
Lauren Liederbach added nine kills, 20 service points and nine digs, and Gemma Howard contributed five kills, 13 service points and eight digs.
Ridgefield’s setter, Jessica Roth, had 44 assists and 15 service points.
